Description
With this piece, I have begun my study of Keith Thompson's style of rendering. As can be seen, I'm in the middle of laying down tactile surfaces with pencil. For the initial shading I'm using an F pencil - it provides a nice mid-tone for me to build on.
I'll move on to pulling out the darks with an ebony pencil next. Then comes the Photoshop shading and coloring. I think I'm gonna wait until I feel a little better before I saddle up and get to finishing this piece.

The technique here is solid but your flatter surfaces look kinda round using this. I have already commented on the finished "colored" version and it looks good. but now that I can see the original line work I'm thinking this one looks better.....and I REALLY like the colored one.
