Adventure Time - Ice King Transformation

"Adventure Time" is, unfortunately, not among my favorite cartoons. I've watched a couple of episodes, and was left with the feeling that something was terribly wrong - that the story I watched was not the story being told.

Specifically, I had a feeling that what I was watching was either the story of a child with severe mental illness, or worse, a child who was wandering through a nuclear-war hellscape, doing the best he could. Sadly, I found out this weekend that my second suspicion is right.

I don't believe in foisting such concepts off on children. It's creepy, and unnecessary. But as the old commercial said, "Different bites for different likes," and far be it from me to shy away from a fun and challenging commission! Both this and the next piece were bought by Adventure Time fans who were very happy with the results. That's what really matters to me!
